Excellent opportunity "to make multiple copies good"

On August 8 of the current year Astana hold the meeting of Mediker LLP staff with representatives of the Astana branch of Red Crescent Society who told about history and the basic activity principles of this oldest and famous world humanitarian organization. Also the questions of attracting employees to the Mediker company were discussed.

For many "Mediker members" there was the news about the fact that in the territory of our country the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society has worked since the 19th century. But its real activity in the independent Kazakhstan is regarded to have started since 1992. The employees and volunteers of the society have always appeared during all these years in the epicenter of extraordinary events, developed field headquarters, given feasible help and assistance to the injured.

Also during the meeting it became clear that the certain Mediker staff is already part of the Red Crescent multimillion army. And it is not only about physicians whose participation in the humanitarian organizations is perceived as something self-evident. For example, a member of the society is the head of the IT service and the Mediker LLP, Zharkyn Sheglova, innovative technologies,. "What has, speaking simply, induced the programmer to become the member of the humanitarian organization? It is not absolutely a profile!" – We asked such a question to Zharkyn and received the following answer:

– It seems to me that it is necessary to do good regardless of a profession and specialization. Besides, I work in the medical company, in a really social business that has become the additional reason of my accession to the society. The Red crescent gives help quietly, gratuitously, without advertizing itself, , but at the same time, it is very effective and if there is an opportunity somehow to help people, then why not make it? For example, by means of the Red Crescent it is possible to train children whose parents aren't able to afford payment, of courses, in the IT sphere. It is an excellent opportunity to help people, to leave something good behind , – Zharkyn shared her thoughts.

At the end of the presentation the Red Crescent representatives answered the questions of the medical company staff who had shown their interest in membership and volunteering. As it became clear, membership in this organization costs just one thousand tenges a year and gives a feeling of participation in a big, good, necessary deed. To see how and where the Red Crescent multiplies "the good”, it is possible just to google it, but reading the volunteers’ publications of this organization on "Facebook" and other social networks is much more interesting. There they say about the participation in mitigation of the mudflow decent consequences in Talgare, floods in the Karaganda region and other natural disasters.

At the end of the meeting the representatives of the Red Crescent Society showed their willingness to meet the staff of the Mediker LLP medical centers working all over the country and also left several questionnaires for individual to be filled in, which were carefully classified.

– Actually I had an idea to go to Guatemala as a volunteer, but my Mum didn’t let me go, – Zharkyn Shcheglova says. – And not to shock my relatives, but at the same time, follow the call of my soul, I decided to join the Red Crescent. For me, it is a chance to change the world, to make it better and if it is necessary, it is possible to act as a volunteer, after all.
